Senior Small Engine Mechanic / Mechanical Lead


Pay: CA$36.25-CA$37.00 per hour

Job description:

CAMERON SPEEDWAY AND AMUSEMENTS INC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Small Engine Mechanic / Mechanical Lead to support the operation and maintenance of our go-kart fleet. This is a senior-level role requiring advanced mechanical expertise and the ability to train and supervise new employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines used in go-karts

Perform advanced troubleshooting and mechanical system analysis

Conduct scheduled maintenance and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently

Assemble and install go-kart components, including engines, drivetrain, and control systems

Perform modifications and upgrades to improve performance and reliability

Ensure compliance with all safety standards and operational procedures, including TSSA requirements

Train and supervise new employees and junior mechanics

Provide technical guidance and support to team members

Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment

Requirements:

Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in small engine repair or go-kart work

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Experience working with mechanical systems and tools

Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment

Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Good communication and leadership skills

Regulatory & Certification Requirements:

Experience working in environments subject to TSSA regulations.

TSSA-related certification or licensing is required, or the ability to obtain certification within a reasonable timeframe after hiring.

Willingness to comply with all applicable safety and regulatory standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with go-karts or recreational motorized equipment.

Previous experience in training or supervising staff.

Formal mechanical or technical training is an asset.
