Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Does getting shot by a paintball hurt?

Getting shot by a paintball is not nearly as bad as you think. Many people refer to getting shot by a paintball to be like someone pinching you.
We control the velocity of the paintball markers to ensure they are within 240-245 fps, which is very reasonable.
Our speedball fields (open weekends, May - September) have different speed levels.

Is paintball safe?

Here at Cameron Speedway, nothing comes before safety. Rules are given before playing to assure that everyone understands how to have a great, yet safe time on the field. We follow strict rules and use many safety features to make sure our players are as safe as they can possibly be.

How many paintballs will I use in a full day of play?

The average player shoots about 300 to 600 paintballs on a day of paintball. It all depends how long you want to play and how “trigger happy” you are. If you want to play for at least 3 hours, we recommend buying at least 500 paintballs, if not, more... Check out the Pricing & Group Info link to see how much paintballs cost.

How old do I have to be to play paintball?

You must be at least 10 years old ( on the day of play) to play paintball. If you are under the age of 18, you must have someone 18 or older ( with photo ID) to sign a waiver and release form before you get to play paintball. All waiver forms must be signed on line prior to the day of play.

How long can I play?

Following the re-opening protocols from Covid19, you have a 2 hour timeframe to play!

Is the fill in the paintballs safe and can I wash it out of my clothes?

The paintballs we use are 100% safe and non-toxic, you can literally eat them (but they taste awful!). The paint we use here washes out of everything. This is one of the reasons we only allow Cameron Speedway paintballs.

Can I bring my own paintballs to Cameron Speedway?

No, due to insurance reasons players may not bring their own paintballs. No outside paint is permitted in the facility- it must be left at home.

Can I bring my own marker to Cameron Speedway?

Yes. Entry fee is $15.00 +tax which includes your full day pass and all the CO2 or HPA fills you need on one tank. You always have to purchase our paintballs. Our Members get in for $5.00 and get a discount on paintballs (refer to Members section).

Do you fill CO2 or HPA?

Yes, we fill both CO2 and HPA on any tank that is not expired.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, debit, visa, and mastercard. (All credit card transactions require matching photo ID)
Online booking and payment is available from the home page/booking site. Online pre-booking/payment is required following the re-opening protocols from Covid19. No walk-ins or spectators are permitted until further notice.

Can I use a barrel plug in my marker?

Absolutely not. Barrel PLUGS are illegal in all of Canada. Barrel COVERS must be used in order to play. Barrel covers are sold in our pro shop.
We do not loan out barrel covers

Should we bring a cell phone?

The phone in our proshop is always available to call for your ride home.

What do I wear/Bring for a day of paintballing?

Dress for the weather, paintball is open in any weather, everything is outdoors. Dressing in layers is a good idea; long pants/sleeves, hooded sweatshirt, hat or gloves and a change of clothes/shoes for the car ride home. Although everything is washable, we still don't recommend you wearing your Sunday best while playing. We have drinks and snacks on site (no outside food/drinks are permitted). You can bring a refillable water bottle with water. No cases of water/pop/powerade etc. Don't forget to bring a great attitude for a safe fun filled day of paintballing!

Do you have lockers at your facility?

We do have lockers at our facility, however, you must bring your own lock. Locks are removed at the end of each day.

Do we have to book in with a group of people or can we show up with just one or two people?

Due to new COVID19 requirements, players must pre-book/pay. Online waiver are required (no paper waivers are accepted)
Please click the book now button and register and complete online waiver.
All players share the fields.
Private groups must pre-book/pay ahead. Booking code is required for online booking- call the pro-shop to obtain one.
No spectators at this time. No walk-ins.

Is there a viewing area to watch players play paintball?

Following the Re-opening act for Covid19; NO spectators are permitted at the facility until further notice.
All of our fields have a safe zone where you can watch the players on the field!
*Due to Covid19 restrictions, NO spectators are permitted**

Does booking online guarantee a start time?

Unfortunately, booking online does not allow you to jump to the front of the line (should one exist). It allows us to control the number of people booking in a time spot (scheduling and bottlenecks) / provides contactless purchase/it is required for group rates of 10+ drivers/ contact tracing ability.

How long does it take to do 5 laps?

The 5 lap package takes just under 15 min and the 10 laps is just under 1/2 hour of drive time.
Laps are done consecutively, can not be split in any way (one ticket per kart.)

Can we spit laps?

Unfortunately, no you can not.
Laps are done consequtively, per driver. One kart gets its own ticket.
If double seaters are required, two 5 lap tickets are needed to take 2 children (the drive and passenger would get out of the kart, the next child would go out in a new kart with the driver 18+ yrs old).
